Experienced EA & Ops support for CEOs, founders, and board members — so the work moves.

Experienced EA & Ops support for CEOs, founders, and board members — so the work moves.

Most CEOs think they need someone to manage their calendar. What they actually need is someone to manage the machine: the relationships, the follow-through, the delegation, the bottlenecks their team can't surface, and the clarity that makes every meeting matter.
I started at a pre-IPO software company, building a CEO's professional network from cold outreach into a database of F500 CIOs who became advisors, board members, and the foundation of a new business unit. That work followed me into venture capital in 2015, where I supported Directors across global offices for seven years.
In 2022, I launched my fractional EA and operations practice — serving CEOs, founders, and board members across nonprofit, philanthropy, venture capital, legal, and professional services.

"Be a bush if you can't be a tree. If you can't be a highway, just be a trail. For it isn't by size that you win or fail.
Be the best of whatever you are."

Fractional Executive Operator
Independent Practice · 2022 – Present
After 17 years inside two of the most demanding executive environments of my career, the next step was clear. Take everything built, everything learned, and bring it to leaders who needed it most.
Launching a fractional practice was the natural evolution of everything that came before. Working independently has allowed for adaptability in a changing world, the freedom to work across social impact, philanthropy, for profit businesses, the ability to pivot, grow, and bring the full range of experience to every engagement.
Every engagement starts the same way. Walk in, learn the business, audit the executive office, and find what's needed. Sometimes it's a system that doesn't exist. Sometimes it's a process that exists but isn't working. Sometimes it's a culture that's stuck. The bottlenecks are felt before they're named. Find it, fix it, make it more efficient.
Every industry is different. Every executive is different. The process never is. Learn the executive and their style. Identify the stressors. Adopt the systems and processes that make things flow. Plan the events that move the business forward. Manage the details that keep leadership moving. The goal is always the same, ease. The industry changes. The approach doesn't.
Established CEOs, executives, and board members operate differently. They have built something real, they have relationships that matter, and they know the difference between support and true partnership. That is where this work lives.
Events planned and executed across the country. Scheduling conflicts reduced. Onboarding streamlined. Executive workflows accelerated. Culture programs built from scratch.
The systems built always outlasted the engagement. That's the point.
Executive Assistant
Insight Partners — Global Venture Capital Firm · 2015–2022
Supporting an executive based in London who travels globally is a different kind of work. It requires anticipation, precision, and the ability to operate across California, New York, and London without losing a beat. That foundation was already built.
I followed the CEO into a new chapter and picked up exactly where iRise left off. The network traveled with us. The events got bigger. What started as once in a lifetime became truly world class, the Northern Lights in Iceland, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and C-level gatherings that deepened relationships across an expanding venture capital portfolio. While still serving as EA, I assisted with planning and logistics, helped to drive attendance, and offered onsite assistance with event logistics.
Those relationships deepened through world class events, continued outreach, and following up on referrals. The strategy remained the same so that the CEO could continue to build, support deal flow, executive transitions, and create new opportunities for advisory and board seats in an expanding venture capital portfolio.
As the practice grew globally, I continued to support the work remotely, managing calendars, communications, and cross-office workflows across California, New York, and London. The remote foundation built at iRise was the foundation.
I transitioned into EA support for Directors across the new west coast offices as the London team expanded. New relationships and the same commitment to my craft.
When the opportunity came to open a new office in Palo Alto during COVID, I stepped in as project manager. Navigated travel restrictions, closures, and supply chain disruptions by collaborating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to deliver the space at company standard. On time. On budget.
Executive Assistant to the CEO and President
iRise — Private Software Company · 2005–2015
I saw the need before it was named. As EA to the CEO and President of a private software company, I built the operational foundation that allowed him to do what he did best, evangelize. Two years in, he moved to London. For the next eight years I supported him from California, managing a globally distributed executive office across time zones before remote work had a name.
That meant expanding into business development. Assisted in building a CRM and grew his calendar from 6 meetings a week to 12–13 per day over 10 years. Cold outreach and referral tracking built the pipeline. Once in a lifetime events, the Kentucky Derby, the Indy 500, Champ Car Race Series in Mexico City, and the US Formula 1 Race in Austin, turned contacts into relationships. Those relationships evolved into executive transitions, advisory boards, and board opportunities.
As a private software company, fundraising was always in the background. Assisted across multiple rounds, managing outreach, organizing materials, scheduling investor meetings, and following up to keep the process moving and nothing falling through the cracks.
Those relationships were built through cold calling, EA connections, email campaigns, driving attendance at events, and following up on referrals. The doors were knocked down so the CEO could walk through them, supporting million dollar deal flow and evolving into advisory boards and board opportunities.
EA, events, business development, and fundraising support weren't separate functions. They were one integrated system built around a CEO who led from the front.
The data was repurposed at scale and became the foundation of a new business unit. After ten years, the work spoke for itself. The CEO moved into venture capital and brought the team with him. The remote support that started in California continued across a new chapter and a new continent.
I am proud to have been the recipient of the President's Club award for top sales achievement, the first and only time it had ever been given to administrative staff.
That's what building something right looks like.

In a fast-paced, mission-driven consulting environment, Ilver was constant and reliable. She managed competing priorities with remarkable grace, and no detail ever slipped through the cracks. Whether it was coordinating complex convenings, managing logistics across multiple workstreams, or keeping senior leadership supported and on track, Ilver brought precision and genuine care to everything she touched.

I've had the pleasure of working with Ilver Doster on several occasions across organizations, primarily co-ordinating meetings and executive scheduling. She has consistently been an absolute delight to work with. Professional, prompt, highly organized, and incredibly savvy in all aspects of administrative support.

Ilver's skill set transects the full range of capabilities for C Suite operations. She works across teams to affect synergy and coherence among team members while keeping the CEO appropriately informed and engaged. Maureen Pankotai, Talent Acquisition @ Designworks Talent LLC
I had the opportunity to work with Ilver at iRise (a SaaS startup) where I was consistently impressed by her ability to drive impact at the highest levels. She worked directly under the CEO, where she took a chance on a new CRM system (Salesforce) I was rolling out. Her speed to adopt, leverage it for her own productivity inspired others and drove the firm forward. By leveraging Salesforce, Ilver automated workflows, and improved visibility of Business Development efforts across the organization and created greater efficiency and scale.
She played a key role in strengthening top-of-funnel business development outreach while ensuring potential clients received a true white glove experience throughout the process. Smart, adaptable, and quick to learn, she continuously expanded her responsibilities and became a major revenue-generating force within the firm. Any organization would benefit from her strategic mindset and execution.
Without a doubt I would recommend Ilver to any firm I know is looking for a brilliant innovative and driven team member who gets things done the right way with passion and drive. I have worked with many people, but Ilver's attention to detail is beyond exceptional and inspiring.
Madison Haile Matheus-Jakar
There are often two types of successful people in the workplace: the connectors and the ones who get things done. Ilver happens to be both, and her genius shines particularly in the spaces where thoughtfulness and execution aren't just tied to metrics or tangible impact, but rooted in merit.
Ilver managed me directly as we worked together at KHA on internal events and engagement. She used her gift of connection and attention to detail to bridge the aspects of culture that are notoriously difficult to nurture with a remote team. She was a strong source of direction, and at many points, a reminder to approach personal capacity with humanity and practicality. Her discernment is rare. She knows which calls to make and when to make them.
Ilver is an event's planner. Let me make that clear: she is THE planner any event needs. She is the person you want on speed dial. What she brings is not just logistical excellence, but a signature blend of thoughtful detail, timely execution, and genuine care for the people in the room. Every occasion she touches feels seamless, because she has already thought of everything you haven't.
Any team and CEO would be lucky to have her by their side.
The right engagement starts with the right fit. If you are a CEO, founder, or board member who values trust, autonomy, and a partner who is as invested in your outcomes as you are, let's talk.
